just delete all the files from ur server then input your
database name
username
password
on ur pc
then upload it to the server by FTP (ws_ftp) not by the CONTROL PANEL in Poweb
Some problems you might have could be the results of wrong chmod settings.

Here is how I have the chmod setup:

755 rwx/rwx/rx
777 rwx/rwx/rwx
admin 755
doc 755
img 755
lang 755
lib 755
public 777
templates 777
tmp 777

matter of fact....I notice that when I click to create tables and it brings you to the screen saying tables were created successfully which says

your new database: test
your MySQL host: (here's where it's interesting....it uses the database name as the host....even though I have specified what the name of the host is in the config.inc.php.

How can I make this correct. Perhaps this is why I keep getting an error and can't get past that page to setup the guestbook admin.

1045 Access denied for user: '******seer@www09.powweb.com' (Using password: NO)

That is the error I get when I mess around with the permissions. There has to be something I am overlooking. Please help.

I am trying to set up admin account on an Advanced Guestbook and I keep getting this error "500 Internal Server Error". My settings on the config.php are correct...at least I think....and I have the right permissions on the files. The tables were created, but the next step was to click here to set up admin account. I can't get beyond that step. If someone could help me, I would be forever in your debt.

This guestbook was working for months. I havent' done anything but am now getting this error:

Hi, im sure this is basic stuff but Im not too smart. After clicking 'vote' this error message comes up along with the results:

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/audio/public_html/newindex.php:6) in /home/audio/public_html/pollphp/db/poll_cookie.php on line 21

I have no idea what the problem is, can somebody help?

Actually now that I check, when you vote it doesn't add a vote or change the percentages either. They all say 0.0% with no text next to them.

After several hours I have made the PNG counter work on my webpage and I am very happy with it. I found that the PHP code <img src="counter.php?page=my_page&digit=my_digit_set" border="0" alt="counter"> worked great if you omit the page bit ie src="counter.php?&digit=my_digit_set" border="0" alt="counter"> It will only work on the top or bottom of the web page

can anyone tell me how i can put advanced guestbook in another page like the one on here or how i can have a menu on the side??

Every part of the poll works fine, except the images. I've tried looking through the code to see where it has gone wrong, but I don't know php/perl/whatever, I only know Java and some SQL.

If you need to know more, I'll try to tell you what you need.
