My guest book has been hacked the same way. It was hacked on the 22nd and the 23rd.

I'm looking into upgrading, now.

The error was my own fault, i updated the SQL with the wrong file... I used the whole guestbook.sql instead of the update version.
I am also not shure of how far my permissions go.. Im just a simple webmaster

When i used the update version later, it was succesfull.

But unfortunately the guestbook still isn't working. Ill try again tommorow otherwise i think will reinstall the whole program.

to understand what he means, you can take a look at the two sides he´s talking about

first, the poll which works correctly (you can only vote once)

and the poll which doesn´t work correctly (you can vote once, but if you close the side and re-enter it, you can vote again)

do you have an idea why the second poll (www.shclan.de) doesn´t work correctly?

Seem to be no route available, all it talks about is 2.2 to the latest. Anyone help?

If you go to my website, and vote, something strange happens.

The text colors change, and I get this message from my cart:

Sorry, but there are no products matching this criteria. Please try again.

I have the vote, in a right hand pane that works along side a generated page made by the shopping cart. Any ideas how I can fix this?

Still one problem. I get the following error when trying to updat the SQL

I've never done this before so maybe i am doing something wrong... I accessed the server using phpmyadmin, chose the database for the guestbook, clicked on SQL, located the SQL file (guestbook.sql) and clicked GO... I also tried to put in the code manually but that came out with the same error..

I hope you can come up with the sulution!

Hello everbody!

I using Advanced Poll v2.03 (text-version) with the cookie-function and I have a problem:

I have 2 polls in diverent sites but in the same directory. Both with the same configuration. But the reload-locking-function with the help of cookies only work on one of these questions correct. So I look for the local saved cookies and only found the cookie for the first poll-question.

I don't understand why the cookie for the second poll don't been saved.

Can anybody help me or have an idea?

It counts my mp3's.....and it counts hits to my m3u (streaming mp3's) but it doesnt want to play them? I noticed that mp3 files is an extension for counting on the program....but not m3u's.....anyone have any insight on this?

Uhm i now see we also use the 2.2 version... How do i upgrade to the new version? Overwrite? And will all the old submitted messages kept safe?

I just don't understand why someone would hack the guestbook of a respectfull museum...

By the way... The files I named are still intact when i open them with ftp acces... The source is almost blank when opened in Explorer.

I really hope someone can help, the guestbook is a important page on our website.

We also had the same hack problem at the same day...

It was in the guestbook of our dutch Atlantikwall Museum website. Also a racial text in the header and the language was put to Polish together with some other strange adjustments...

Is it possible this was a hack only against the advanced guestbook? And how did the hacker now were to find the guestbooks?

My biggest problem is now after I fixed al the changes (and everything was working like it should) I logged out of the admin.php and the whole guestbook doesn't seem to work anymore....

Are there more people with the same problem? and just to be shure, can I save al the messages that were submitted when it worked?

I'm looking for the same thing. There should be someway for this to work via Javascript. I use the PHPBB and an add on called Topics_Anywhere. The instructions for Topics_Anywhere included the method for including the PHP page through Javascript. The Topics_Anywhere page was written to allow this.

I tried re-writing the poll code to do the same thing, but I suck at PHP, and I could never get it to work. All I know is it has something to do with having the PHP page format the output as Javascript printing HTML.

This would be a really usefull feature.

Thanks for really neat tool, I just wish I could use it with my ASP pages. If anyone figures it out, please e-mail me.
