Would someone be able to help me out, I've been through a lot of posts on this forum to try and solve this but I haven't found anything.

When I try to post a message on guestbook 1.5 it comes up with the error This page cannot be displayed. Then if I press refresh it just displays the .pl file in internet explorer!

I have chmod the files as required and I "think" I have edited all the files correctly.

Ich möchte das gästebuch natlos in meine page einbinden. Ohne Frames.

Also habe ich die template-dateien angepasst. Funktioniert eigentlich super, nur hab ich im template ein eigenes menü, das ich einbinden möchte. Allerdings wird die folgende zeile total ignoriert.

kann mir jemand sagen wieso?

I am having the very same issue with a web site for a christian support group I created. The spamming is of a very ofensive nature. I have removed the webpage entry from the form section. Now they are starting to put the links in the location or description fields. It looks like I will have to take the guest book down since I cannot ban them.

It's probably impossible to remove the gender field from only some entries. You would have to just drop that field all together.

To change the text you need to open the language file in the lang sub-directory. If your guestbook is in English it's called english.php, if it was in French it would be french.php etc.

Find this line (should be line 43)

And change it to whatever you want.

If you want to personalize your guestbook a bit more you can change some of the other messages in this file.

Many ways. Save code as seperate file and then call it with
<?php include("your/filename")?> at the relevant position in your document.

Two ways. One being to specify absolute paths in your globals or and easier way is to save you file containing the <iframe> in the same directory as your guestbook and altering your other page links accordingly. Easy. Hope you have success. If not contact karl302000@yahoo.com and i'll do it for you.
