I've changed and uploaded the .pl scripts (755) and the logfiles folder (777) - however, I get an Access Denied message in my browser when I try and check the script.
Any ideas where I should be looking to correct the error.
(I've set it up on another site which did the same, until I moved the javascript between the </html> and <body> tags, and then it worked, but moving this one doesn't correct the problem.)

Tôi đã download bản Guestbook 1.5 viết bằng perl, đã upload nguyên thư mục book vào thư mục chính của tôi trên server và upload file guestbook.pl vào thư mục cgi-bin đúng cách, nhưng không biết kê tên base directory trong file guestbook.pl như thế nào cho đúng, tôi đã kê /book nhưng không chạy được, cứ báo lỗi. While in the process of installing the SQL version of Advanced Poll, it gets to the URL "poll/db/install.php?action=step_3" and stops. Nothing is on the screen and the status box in the browser says "done". Any ideas?

Have you checked database name, password etc. in admin/config.inc.php ?

in der aktuellen Version vom Gästebuch gibt der PHP-Parser eine Fehlermeldung aus, wenn ein Gast in das File-Form irgendwas eintippt und Javascript deaktiviert hat. Der Fehler lautet dann auch sinngemäss "Konnte imagesize nicht erkennen". Das Problem dabei ist IMO, dass zusammen mit der Fehlermeldung der absolute Serverpfad ausgegeben wird und somit ein Gast, der böses denkt, die Kundennummer des Webmasters erfährt (z.B. /kundenserver/UserIDxyz/htdocs). Kann man das ignorieren oder sollte man zusehen, dass man in die add.class.php eine Datei-Endungserkennung einbaut? (Bei euch Fehler bei Zeile 103, bei mir in Zeile 129)

I have another question. I am in the process of switching from another guestbook, I have copies of all the entries. First, I was wondering if there was a way to import my existing data? Or, if I copy and paste them, is there a way to change the date to match the date the entries were originally posted?

Ok, Fehler gefunden. Das Gästebuhc wertet die Beschriftung der Submit- und Previe-Buttons aus. Da die im Text verändert waren, konnte das nix werden :-/
