Hi,

does anyone know how to get the form into the index.php? I have put it in the body-template, but after submitting the form it brings me to the addentry.php, generating a new form (from form-template), while ignoring the submitted one. Anyone? I thougt addentry.php checks the referer (coming from index.php), but didnt work.

weiß jemand, wie man das Formular auf der index.Seite platzieren kann? Ich möchte auf der Index Form + Einträge anzeigen und habe das Dormular dazu im body-template platziert. Jedoch springt das Formular onSubmit zur Addentry.php, selbst wenn es ausgefüllt ist. Dort wird dann ein neues Formular generiert. Anyone?

Image name [e.g. smile.gif] should match the code [

]. You can change the image name if you have problem in scanning the image.
1. Go to Admin -Smilies -Scan directory (img/smilies).
2. Or, change your_new_image_name.gif with the existing name, for intance with a2.gif, etc. Here, you may need, if necessary, to change the code through edit facilitiy.

That is a script issue. Check such a line with the original one. If you can't find it, the easiest way to deal wih it is to re-install the guestbook. Back up your db first (if any data), delete, re-install.

I have successul installed the Advanced Guestbook.

But I go into smilies and and delete those a1 - a11.gif and added my new one.

But in the guest book show those codes:

in my admin control, all smilies i want are there with codes.. how do I make it to works in signing the guestbook?

After 2 days of being so proud of my hard earned Guestbook, I think someones hacked me!!

It was all okay, but Now Im getting query errors 1064

Deleted recently the database of my guestbook.
Made a new one, now I replace all the messages, no problem.
Only I want to change the dates to their original time they were posted.
Any idea??

I also do not understand number 1 either...

1.Open guestbook.pl with a text editor.
Change the url in line one, to the Perl program at your server.
Usually it is: - /usr/bin/perl or /usr/local/bin/perl for Unix.
- C:/Perl/Perl.exe for Windows (use slash "/")
Set the correct paths and required urls.

I have a cgi-bin i made... all i did was create a file named cgi-bin... I put everything where the ZIP file unzipped them to my website folder on my computer. Put some files into /book and some files into /cgi-bin

What does this mean in the guestbook readme...

2.Upload guestbook.pl in ASCII-mode to your cgi-bin directory
and change mode it to 755 (-rwxr-xr-x).

I am so new to this its not even funny and I cannot get this thing to work on my site using DreamWeaver and I have a site at Geocities... pro, not free... How do I install the basic guestbook, not the advanced. Any help would be hot savvy thx

It's bad when people are abusing other peoples name.

It seems you guest right that is was I "Jam'n".

You could check the following things.

Do you have the chmod setup like this:

admin 755
doc 755
img 755
lang 755
lib 755
public 777
templates 777
tmp 777

Are all files present (because you tell me "I don't know if this helps but, when I click on "To check your environmental variables, click here," in the admin section, nothing is returned.") This seems like a file is missing.

Also check if lib/image.class.php isn't damaged, because this is the image handler.

Exactly how did you remove it? I have the same issue.
