It can be done. It is a lot of work though, and it is not as easy as you might think. It involves modifing almost every php file and adding new tables to the database.

once you figure the jist of that out, then it is not a problem. I have added a custom field, plus the yahoo and msn mods, and also the anti-spam mods as well as the human verification mod.

I also changed all the post methods in the addentry.php file because of remote spammers, but that was before I put the human verification mod in place

also lastly, I don't use the templates that come with advanced GB. they don't allow for parsing anything...so I just added my includes and template straight into the main files..

Um falsche gedanken aus dem Spiel zu nehmen sag ich gleich eins...
meine Sendmail / PHP Konfiguration funktioniert mit anderen scripten einwandfrei.

Ich hab nur das Problem, das sobal ich eine Webmaster E-Mail im Admin des Forums eingebe, er beim senden einer E-Mail an den Gästebuchbenutzer den wert doppelt nimmt.

z.b.:

Ich gebe nichts unter E-Mail Adresse ein (funktioniert)
Sendet er die "Danke Mail" von Admin@firebirdsoft.at

Ich gebe meine E-Mail Adresse ein (funktioniert nicht)
Sendet er die "Danke Mail" von Admin@firebirdsoft.atAdmin@firebirdsoft.at

also doppelt und gesendet wirds dann nicht weil der sender unbekannt ist

Well the same happened to me. I downloaded the zip but as I am not knowledgable in php and MySQL..... I am completely lost..... A help.txt file would have been so very useful......

I wanted to put a poll on our website and downloaded advanced poll, demos seem pretty good but when it came time to actually implement the solution-maybe i was struck dumb or the zip file lacked a proper installation and "up and ready" guide for us who do not know a crap about .php.

It would be great if someone can spell it out:

What part of the code goes where in .html document? Do i copy paste from the templates? Or from the sections in "help" menu? What is the step by step guide AFTER INSTALLATION to get the poll on html page.
