Hello, my name is Danielle and i have just discovered this site my web site is threw ipowerweb my problem is I really dont know to much about computers i have had my account since march and i have set up my guestbook,chatroom,and my message board in the c-panel area but what i need is to find out how to add these things to my site im really at a dead end with this and i cant find any step by step instructions can someone please help me?thank you look forward to hearing from anyone who knows how to do these things!!!

Hi

I allowed the photo upload facility in my guestbook but I want to be able to crop/compress/downsize their pictures after upload. So, I saved their pictures onto my computer, made it into a smaller file, and then I tried to upload it using FTP back into the "public" folder but the FTP application is telling me that permission is not allowed even though I have set permissions to 777 in that public directory. How do I do that?

I think the problem is the configurantion of the host... almost everybody that as this problem is hosted in www.host.sk ...

OK, I changed style like this : I have left.php and right.php in index.php
and Advanced Poll is in the right.php. When I answer the poll my browser goes to the right.php -page and shows me only that page.

I want it to show left.php and index.php too, not only right.php.

Please answer me... my site is very popular and I don't know how I can solve that problem.

It took me a while to spot it, but on each pol you need to select *which colour* bar you will use. Sounds mad, but if you don't then it shows nothing!

I was having the same problem and had to set the permissions on my guestbook image folder to 777 and then it all worked fine

First, hats off to a Guest user in the forum for the SQL patch to reset the login and password. However, my access is through CPanel and the steps had to be modified a bit.

To reset Login and Password for Advanced GuestBook on MySQL server, accessed through CPanel:

1. Log in to CPanel
2. Go to Advanced Options
3. Select MySQL Databases
4. Scroll down to bottom and click on phpMyAdmin
5. Select correct database (usually somename_agbook1)
6. On right side of screen select SQL
7. In Data Entry field delete "SELECT * FROM `book_auth` WHERE 1"
8. In Data Entry Field, paste the following two lines:

delete from book_auth;
INSERT INTO book_auth VALUES (1,'test','773359240eb9a1d9','80c1b50318676c8f324c985b94ac780a',1013100791);

9. Click "GO" button

This will reset your account to:

User name: test
Password: 123

This same process may work well on other scripts. I'm a newbe to PHP and MySQL so I don't know if Password Encryption is standardized or not.
