thank you for your help, but unfortunatly nothing works... i dropped the _auth table and insert it again with the original test/123... access to the blue page ok, but when i ask general settings for example, i get back to the login page. I tried also to remove the password from the table, accesing the admin only with the username... same problem!

however i noticed one thing:
when i insert the test/123 user in the table, it inserts a session code and "LAST_VISIT" (1013100791).... then i login in my admin/blue screen/back to login/etc.... when i get back to my table, "LAST_VISIT" was changed to (00000000000000)

what do you think about it?

I have installed Adv. Guestbook V2.3.1 and everything works fine except for one small bug:

whenever a visitor enters and sends a message without an image or graphic the following error is called:
"Guestbook Error - wrong image file type". (The image upload option is turned on)

I have searched all over these forums and found absolutely nothing pertaining to this.

If anyone has a tip I would be grateful...

Here is a real dump queston. Did you check "send eamil to admin" in the admin control panel?

OK - emm,, do I need to copy all the files a second time into a new directory as well?

And when I run intal.pho a second / third time etc, do I add a new table, or a new DB and table? Would I just run this file, without copying the whole directory again, and then copy and new congif file?

Sorry, I'm new to all of this!

all u have to do is save the page were u want the code to appear as .php not as .htm or .html so that the server knows how to handle the php script. Try it i had the same Problem so do everything as the instructions say but save that Page were the code goes as .php aight

Got up this morning to see my poll had received 1,054,598,854 votes overnight and had been disabled ( anormal load of votes is around 10

) . I'm using the Mysql version - does anyone have suggestions on how to protect against this kind of attack?

Other information - the creation date had been changed to Wednesday, 31 December 1969 19:00

What you will more than likely have to do, is what I had to do and that is drop the admin table and reimport it. The problem is is that the guestbook uses a session and a time stamp. So if you were to just change the password in the guestbook, it wouldn't always work. When you drop the table and add it again, the encrypted password and admin name will match the timestamp and session.

Und zwar habe ich auch eine htm Datei wo ich denn Vote einfügen wollte.
Gesagt getan! Also am anfang halt die poll_cookie.php included und dann an der Stelle wo ich denn Vote haben wollte halt die booth.php.
naja wie oben schon beschrieben benutze ich ebenfalls die TEXTVERSION und der Browser hängt sich immer an diesem "->" vor "poll_process(4);"
auf.
Was kann man tun?????
