I got the A-guestbook, but i got two probs:
1:How do u add another part to the form (like lets say fave band) when u like sign it? i added it but when ive tested it nothing comes up in that bit

2:My G-book has a black BG but i cant see the comments , how do i change the colour of the comments?? (btw i mean the comments under the comments)

ich habe eben den poll auf meienr page installiert (www.partynetworks.de) und funzt ganz gut. ich habe aber die txt version genommen (bin auch anfänger). Also, Du musst wie in der readme datei steht bestimmt Ordner und dateien die zugriffsrechte erteilen.
Dann loggst Du dich über das Admin tool ein und richtest deine umfrage ein usw.
Wenn das getan ist, musst Du in deinem Homepage editor in den html code folgendes schreiben:

include_once "/home/www/derPfadVonDeinemServer/poll/booth.php";
echo $php_poll->poll_process(x); // x = Poll ID, die steht im admin menü unter "Umfragen"
?>

Den code kannst Du auch unter hilfe nachlesen.

i want to disable the IP locking feature as i have the poll on the members area and that doesn't get MANY votes, so who cares if they vote twice? i tried using the option 'logging off' but i am not sure if that should help. in any case it didnt work and if i still have the same IP counts as 1 vote all the time and i get "you have already voted"

first of all, great script..

then well i want to have it working so that i can create my buttons in html, and then i just add the corresponding from the admin...so that i'll have my design, but let's say the 'actions' will be used from the script, but without modifying the templates....i tried many methods but it seems that i can't have my own file to have it 'post' within the script, no iframe or stuff...like the buttons are not doing anything at all, not casting any vote at all.. i hope was clear what i want.

My first post ever earlier today was ignored and till now I figured it all out and it works. Sometimes one really got to learn a bit... But, here is my call for help this time about the guestbook v1.5, downloaded today and works just perfect. Still have to adjust this and that though. I see no problem at all - only how do I add additional fields (for the addentry.html page and change the code in the guestbook.pl script without messing it all up?

I would like to add in between more fields to enter for guests and have it in the following order appear on the addentry.html page:

NAME
E-MAIL ADDRESS
HOMEPAGE URL
REFERRED BY
PLACE/COUNTRY -PRESENT
PLACE/COUNTRY -ORIGIN
MESSAGE

It can already be seen at

But it won't work since I did not do the necessary changes in the script itself, so, it won't write it.
I would greatly appreciate any kind fellow human in here helping me out here, perhaps with some example?

how can i add "<input type=hidden" in poll 2.02 ???

i insert following code from template in /poll/admin/

<input type="hidden" name="action" value="vote">
<input type="hidden" name="poll_ident" value="$poll_id">
<input type="hidden" name="city" value="$city">

but i dose NOT send value "city"?

what should i do..

Did you configure everything correctly in the config.inc.php file before you uploaded it?

Sometimes the route to MySQL is different on different servers so you might want to check and make sure you have all the right settings.
