Sure, I know about that, but I've always gotten help over there. I'm only speaking of the support there. Actually, several of the moderators there helped me tremendously. The one named Sly (he's very nice) installed my board in something like 15 minutes. Another guy, another moderator, installed different scripts for me, and I tried unsucessfully and screwed up my board in a major way. It's just that I have this guestbook with a lot of signatures on it and can't get in to get the one ugly one off of it. Also, I am gearing up to re-face my site and this won't match ... not even a little bit.

When I go into MySQL, it's all foreign and maybe the directions need to be spelled out for me a little clearer because it doesn't look like what I'm told to do. In fact, I didn't see a "delete" button or even the word "delete" in the boot _auth file. It could be that I can't read for understanding, but that would be a new thing for me.

I just want some help.

Since you evidently know what you're doing with PHP, please help us newbies out (we can barely spell PHP). Exactly what do you have to do and how do we do it.

This does not always work either. What I had to do was completly drop that table from the structure, and then re-import the table again with the original user name and password of test and 123

But this was because I upgraded from 2.2 to 2.31

If you are not upgrading, then just deleting the encrypted password will work just fine.

As far as Ikonboard.com, they all suck over there. The real author Matt the one that made the board left, after he got duped into giving it to jarvis network. He now has a much better board called invision board

I do that as follows with the link: index.php?pagina=gastenboek/main.php but now the blades (smiles) is not reflected and the link works NOT because which linked to the root whereas they do not stand there... where I can adapt that switchboard directory and also left because also which must to index. php?pagina=gastenboek/page.php gelinkt

Hello, I have the scripts on the server, i have php and sql..... i even get install.php to wrok, but then???????? i have no clue. database name to fill in????? no idea? the localhostname???????? no idea where can i find it, then the login and password ??????? test and 123 ??????? i got a sql password and login from my server people as well. can someone help me step by step?????????

Advanced Guestbook 2.3.1 is great, but i can't use the picture fonction on my website. The picture doen't upload. It's not a problem with CHMOD configuration, but a problem with free.fr who hosted my website (the upload could work but not in the way advanced guestbook do it) .

Does anyone have the same trouble and have find a soulution ?
Does anyone have modified the upload procedure , in order to make it work?

I'm fairly new to PHP and I want to install Poll PHP on my server. I read the read me files, but am not all that clear on how to install it. I edited the config, that sets up the database, but it's not correct. If someone could kind of walk me through it, I would most appreciate it.

Your Advanched poll 2.02 is great, but I have only a little question. Is it possible to disable the request, for a username and password for the admin part.

We would like to integrate an other security solution into the script, so our contentmanager doesn't have to login for every closed part again.

tag before anything else.

I'm running an IIS5 web server with Perl, IIS is set up correctly, but I keep on getting CGI time-outs when trying to post a new msg to my guestbook...ne1 got ne ideas??

I've checked the guest_id and page_id files, IIS user has got Read/Write/Execute access to it, which is needed. What does the permissions on the guestbook.pl file have to be?

The url's in the .pl file are correct and I've read the readme.txt file on what changes to make...still, the application times out every time...please HELP?!!!
