Don't use the guestbook templates at all. Strip them clean. Then place your your global template info around the index.php, comment.php and addentry.php

as for admin.php, you can modify the template through the admin page.
You will modify adminentry.php

All your includes will execute properly through those three main scripts.

I also found that guestbook runs significantly faster when using your templates and includes in the actual scripts vs. the admin templates
The admin templates have to be hard coded everytime menus and content change on your site and you can not use includes to global headers and footers.

Templates will not parse anything.

Well I couldn't get any of that to work, I'll be looking around some more, but as of now I can't get the download to display on the pages as I would like them to. If anyone comes up with an idea that works, and would like to help me get this up, please feel free to contact me about it!

In Advanced Guestbook 2.2, I would like to display the email adresses as an image (PGN, JPG or GIF) instead of test.

what do you mean as an image instead of test? i am taking it your having a code to create an image of the email address? but instead of test? what do you mean by test?

Ein gutes neues jahr noch an alle

You have to set write permissions to your php template files

chmod 666 on all template php files

you get permission denied because they get set to default cmod 644 during ftp upload

It seems that the guy that writes these scripts is out to lunch. either that, he doesn't support his scripts in any way. He leaves the burden on the people posting in here. Guess any requests to these support forums is like urinating in the wind. It aint going to happen unless some one that is using the script figuers it out.

I get a nasty spam spider with a dynamic ip address munch on my guestbook almost everyday.

too bad really.
