It could be your host or the version of php they run. You could have messed up the install. Could be alot of things. I know I have used Lazarus ever since carb put it out. And I have never had any problems with it.
If you go look at the new version. I think you will like it. He has simplfied all of it.
You could try Lazarus Guestbook. The link is in my signature.
sdh wrote:Hello Carbonize. I didn't mean 10 steps to add the admin feature. I meant 10 steps to set up Lazarus in the same way as AGB, and then how to import the messages from AGB into Lazarus.

A small guide on how to change to Lazarus, and still keep all messages and so on

Thanks

Carbs update file will do the database for you when you run it. And you will not lose your entries.

And if you want the GB placed on your main website all you need to do is rename it with a php extension. Also you might want to ask lazarus questions on the lazarus forum located here. http://carbonize.co.uk/Lazarus/Phorum/index.php This is what you are trying to do below correct. That is exactly what I'm trying to do!

I pasted the php include into my page where I wanted it to go. The page runs and picks up my css code and uses it but doesn't format my page.

I am using html includes so I have named my page as .shtml extensions.

thanks for the reply.k

Well as you can see it wont work your way. But it is your site not mine.

balleyne wrote:I've coded a simple approve feature into my guestbook, if anyone is interested (fishkiss.ca).

It just simply blocks entries from being displayed on the guestbook until I go into the admin panel, and approve them using the Easy Admin.

This helps prevent your last few entries (or any of them for that matter) from being spam.

webmaster@fishkiss.ca

And is that supposed to be new? Carbs Lazarus Guestbook already has this feature.

I still would like to know the best way to prevent this from happening again though.

Thanks.

That is easy DISABLE HTML. Upgrading to Lazarus Guestbook wouldnt hurt either.
Read the stickies.
You might also want to update your GB from version 2.2
stevendude wrote:Thanks. I just emailed the info to you. If possible can you let me know how you fixed it so in case it happens again I won't have to bother you. I really appreciate your time helping though.

Thank you...

It isnt hard. You just go into the database and delete it there.
It is included in the Lazarus Guestbook. Made by Carb. Along with alot of other antispam featurs not found in AGB.
Ps while your at it why dont you change to Lazarus Guestbook. Looks like most of your entries in yours are spam.
Why dont you just create a .htaccess file?
Well you know what they say carb. Imitation is the best flattery. To bad he is a dollar short and over a year late. I bet he even thought he had something special.
