Ok... This is the code it tell me to add. But every time I do i get errors on my board. I'm adding it to a .php file

1) dunno, but try!
2)its a php script u do not need a cgi-bin, just php enabled server, if u read the readme it tells u the ftp rights for folder/files
3)this will be done for u.... its wot the script does

4)I dont want it too look like im trying to promote, BUT... http://www.vshosting.net they do low cost hosting and the support for any site and scripts is exellent for wot u pay... I pay $15 ayear and get everything i need and more...

Thats because of the cookies stupid =) If you don't want cookies to be enabled, take out the part of the code that does it. it's on the top of the code area blah blah blah blah

The problem is that once I vote on the poll I made, I cannot vote again. Even if I delete the poll & create an entirely different poll, it still tells me I've already voted.

What can I do?

Ich habe Poll 2.0.2 gedownloadet, weil es angeblich das beste Script da draussen sein soll.
Naja, leider gibts keine wirkliche Installationsanleitung...nicht so toll. Daher habe ich trotz s t u n d e n l a n g e m Bemühen die Installation nicht hingekriegt. Ich stelle also meine Fragen hier und bitte um Beantwortung!
Bitte lest reach meine Fragen durch und falls möglich bitte versucht sie zu beantworten. Vielen Dank schonmal vorweg.

Meine Probleme/Fragen:
1) Ich kann nicht in den Admin-Bereich eintreten. Wohl gelange ich via dem standard-passwort auf das index.php, aber wenn ich dort z.B. Change Password oder Settings drücke, dann muss ich wieder das Passwort eingeben und komme wieder zum Ursprungsmenü auf index.php zurück. Immer! Wie eine Endlosschleife. Warum??

2) Wenn ich im Unterschied zu oben versuche das ganze LOKAL durchzuführen komme ich zwar in die Menüs rein und ich kann alle einstellungen vornehmen und z.B eine neue Umfrage starten. Aber bei den Results der Umfragen werden NIE die Balken angezeigt. Es kann irgendwie die entsprechenden Images nicht laden - und das trotzdem, dass ich in den Einstellungen den Pfad richtiggestellt habe!! Stimmt da was mit dem Code nicht, der vorgeschlagen wird in den Demos 1-5 oder was geht hier ab??

Die IP-Sperre kann man dadurch umgehen, dass man die Cookies löscht und sich neu einwählt.
Die Lösung des Problems suche ich auch...

Im guessing that your server does not have acess to php and you think it's possible that if you just name ur files with .html but still use php in it, it may work. Sorry, but there's no way around it. You have to have php installed in the server in order for php to work in any type of format.

Well I have been working this problem out and still need just a tad bit of help...

I am continuing this thead as perhaps it will help someone else at some point in time....

Seems do to the way I install a linux RedHat system with absolute mininum install I was missing some necessary RPMS like flex bison byacc autoconf automake and texinfo to mention a few. Once I got all these installed the make went fine with NO errors. I did the make then make install and then copied cp php.ini-dist /usr/local/lib/php.ini

when I do a /etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd restart I get the following error ... I cannot find any info on this error when I search the web... to get the web server working again I commented out line 261 and one more line about 100 down from it with the libphp4 in it.

I am running Apache 1.3.23-14

Cannot load /etc/httpd/modules/libphp4.so into server: /etc/httpd/modules/libphp4
.so: undefined symbol: sapi_globals

I think once I get this figured out PHP will work.
