I can't edit posts when logged in as admin. The edit form shows, but I when I submit, the original message appears, instead of the edited one

Anyone here has some ideas on how to solve this? I've tried a forum search, but nothing came up. As far as I know the server I'm running the guestbook on has the most recent PHP version, compiled correctly.
Greetings,

When I create a poll in the admin panel, the script assigns a poll ID to it. Is there a way or method of changing this default assigment?

For example, the script may assign a poll ID of, say 4. I would like to select a number, say 100201.

Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.
I went to book_auth but do know where to go from there ... HELP!!
I am trying to use guestbook as a module for PHPwebsite.... how do I do it??
poll_process("newest");

This will always display the most recent poll, right? But if I wanted to, for some reason, run an old poll, I'd have to manually change the poll id on the page I'm using it?
What I mean is: Do I have to manually update my php file with a new pollid every time I want a new poll to display? If my embedded poll is listed as poll_process(9);, is there any way to change to a new poll using the admin features, or must I go into the page and change that number (9) to the new pollid for every new poll?

I hope so, because this looks like a great product, but if it can't do this, I don't see the point. Maybe I'm just missing something.
So, if I understand this correctly, I'd need to update the php file that contains my embedded poll? So if I wanted to replace one poll with another, I can't do this with the admin feature? I'd have to manually edit whatever page I've embedded the poll into?
okay, just have to remove the old one[/code]
okay, now have but this under <body>

But its telling me:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class polldb_sql in /home/peetdk/public_html/pollphp/db/include/class_mysql.php on line 10
the webserver has no write permission on this directory

Webmaster wrote:...this is an old backup from 21.08.2002

What about more regular backups then, say weekly????

As there is no support for the products then this forum is the only place to get issues sorted, and therefore it's VERY important.

Hija,

You need to configure the settings.
Go to the admin section.
Click on General Settings.
Change the first 2 fields ie URL to poll directory & URL to image directory.
eg if your files are located in /home/domain_name/public_html/phpfolder/pollphp,
then the settings should be /phpfolder/pollphp/textfile & /phpfolder/pollphp/textfile/image.
Good luck!
