there is an utility for corverting win/dos txt to unix txt file "dos2unix" download it and run on your *pl file and everything will be allright.

/* guestbook pages */

$GB_PG["index"] = "/Domain/gbook.php";
$GB_PG["admin"] = "/Domain/gb/admin.php";
$GB_PG["comment"] = "/Domain/gb/comment.php";
$GB_PG["addentry"] = "/Domain/gb/addentry.php";

Ganz einfach!

Ich hoffe, ich konnte Dir helfen.

Your inst. guide was very very helpful for me while setting up the advanced poll on my homepage.

Thanx!!!
Right, ignore the stupid question regarding where the links are held!!

I can now also see that Alpha sorting is a 'no no' too...

Answered my own questions really didn't I?
Got this up & running and it's gr8...

Couple of questions from a non Perl'er'.

1. Which file actually holds all of the added links?
2. Is there a way of sorting the links alphabetically without getting my hands too dirty with Perl?

Solfer
Thanks for your "how to".

It helps

Thanks
hmmmmm did you use the "textfiles" or the "db" one?
Ok, i've got it up and running on my server using a data base, now when I try to embed the poll in an .html page by following the directions give in a thread on these forumz, it fails to display the poll on my page. Now the funny thing is, is I tried to test it out on a blank html page and when I point to the file I'm testing it on it brings up a download window..??..
When the page is diplayed after I downloaded it this is what was visible,

poll_process(3); ?>

Any help with this problem will be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance. BTW, this site Kicks azz!
Can anyone tell me if this poll is supposed to work with netscape. I am using netscape 4.78and cannot make a vote. Other than that this poll is great! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. 8O
I am getting the following errors in my error.log. I know the file is there. I am looking at it now.

[root@mposmrh01 cgi-bin]# ls
guestbook.pl

[Thu Jul 11 14:38:00 2002] [error] (2)No such file or directory: exec of /var/www/cgi-bin/guestbook.pl failed
[Thu Jul 11 14:38:00 2002] [error] [client 10.10.5.29] Premature end of script headers: /var/www/cgi-bin/guestbook.pl
how can i show comments on the advanced poll. i got the poll up in running but you can only send comments. how can my visitors see the comments that people have created? by the way this has been the best poll script i've seen so far if you wanna check it out http://www.sherwinm.com thanks!
