In General Settings what do you have the maximum message length set to?
It's not as simple as that. As to the templates just take a look at the lazarus templates to see what variables are new. I don't think I added that many variables to the templates but I did add a few new templates.
Are we talking about the name etc or the actual message?
Once you update you need to visit the misc/update_db.php file in your web browser.
This mod is not needed for AG versions 2.4 and over as it has captha. Replace all your files except config.inc.php with the new ones.
It's all explained in the Lazarus FAQ's on the site.
When adding the options you can use HTML so adding images is simple.
I mean replacing the files but not running the update.
Does it work without the update?
Yes a changelog would be nice. Anyway I opened it in 7-Zip and looked at the file dates. The only things updated this year were updated on 13/6/2007 and they are

readme.txt
install.php
captcha.php
misc/get_admin.php
misc/uninstall.php
misc/upgrade_db.php

and everything in the include and admin folders.
Danke
Advanced Guestbook does not support being included. You have two options.

1 - Edit the templates to make the guestbook match your site.
2 - Look at Lazarus.
Well

Try the addentry.php page see if you get errors there.
It's saying there is a problem in one of your templates. Have you made any changes?
Ok thats weird. I can't see why the computer you aer on should make a difference.
