The correct answer is that as in before html code it means like this...
Also you do not need to chmod the page the poll is included in.
To change how long the cookies will last open poll_cookie.php and the value is right at the top, and is in hours. If you use the IP table as well its best to set the locking timeout for the same amount of time as the cookie. So they expire at the same time.

If I hadn't been on this forum no one would of got any help coz the owner of the site doesn't seem to care! Well then fine you help all the people who post on this forum, I'm outta here and if you persist in this I will begin deleting my posts with answers to a lot of problems so that no one will be able to solve whatever problem they have! So there you go you try and help everyone then! Especially when I'm doing it for FREE and I don't even own this site or write any of the scripts. What do you expect for free help and advice?!?!?

This forum only offers support for the scripts available from this site! So you can just go and be a jerk somewhere else! Anyway what I said is completely true! For example the headers already sent problem that has been asked at least 20 times! And answered only once, becuase I keep refering people to the one thread with the answer, when a simple search could of saved them a lot of time instead of wasting it waiting for someone to reply to their post.

Oh! You mean the table, go the templates page in the admin area look in the first box with poll view selected find this tag <table... add to it height="whatever height". Then switch to poll results and do the same thing.

Its easy! First go to the admin area of the poll then templates with Poll View selected go the third textbox and find the code that looks like this
Then delete it, this will delete the results link so you can keep the results private until the poll is over or you wish to show them. Good tip here is to copy the code necessary for the link to a file on your PC so you can restore it later so people can view the results.

True. Well you gotta help the newbies I mean not many of them have the common sense to visit http://www.phpbb.com for help with phpBB2 or if they need general information about php the best place to go is http://www.php.net/ or even how to use a search engine like google, to find what their looking for, or this forums search function to see if the answer to their question has already been given, which it usually has.

Well that was a waste of time! Testing is something you should've done in the General Discussion forum because there are people here who really need help.

Have you taken into account that the text next to the bar will push the size of the table. Why don't you just set the table width in the template using the Admin's template editing function, under templates obviously...

What the hell are you on about? Try saying your problem in CLEAR english and sentences.
when you say user rights I presume you mean chmod, that only applies to *nix machines.
Come to think of it it looks like you typed in an incorrect path or name of something during the installation process, I've seen the same thing with the advanced poll during installation.

Try http://www.php.net/
Surprisingly this is a good place to go to find out ANYTHING about php.

Have you set the bars maximum length in the admin area under general settings to a suitable length?

Please take note of the post I made in that thread.

Ignore the last post saying that it should be x !!!! It shouldn't it can be newest, random or any poll id so long as you have a poll with that id, so that that particular poll will have that template.
In your case if you have a poll with a poll id of '4' on that page it will use the template set 'simple'. If you have another poll on the same page with say a poll id of 3 it will not have use the simple template set unless you specify it for that poll.

Frontpage won't preview php. You have to upload it to your webserver and try it there. The code that comes with Adv. Poll in the admin area will show what code to add.
