Ich benutze die free link page schon seit längerem, bin aber nun anscheinend in irgendeine spamliste gelangt ( alle paar stunden oder minuten neuer eintrag ).
Ich habe dann die submit html so verändert, das gar keine urls mehr zugesandt werden konnten. Komischerweise wurden dennoch einige URL´s hinzugefügt. Erst als ich dann die link.pl umbenannt habe (das script komplett unbrauchbar gemacht habe) stoppte der spam.

Was muss geändert werden, damit mir zunächst die URLS (daten) per mail zugeschickt werden, ich quasi das ganze freischalten muss?
Natürlich würde die Möglichkeit eines IP , Host bzw URL Ban super sein, aber das Freischalten, das würde schon einiges ändern.
Währe nett, wenn Ihr mir helfen könnt.

P.S. Tut mir leid, aber wenn ihr nazis bzw. rasisten seit, dann würde ich eure Hilfe lieber nicht beanspruchen. (schreibe das nur, weil hier komische postings sind).

Don't mind that other guy. He just thinks that because he has the time and interest in learning programming languages, that everybody else should also. It's like if someone asks you the directions somewhere and you tell them to go and buy a map.

Anyway, what I did, is go to 'Templates' then clicked on 'Poll Result'. I then scrolled down until I found result_foot.

I couldn't work out how to comment out the code, but I just deleted teh line in question.

Obviously, make sure that you copy all thecode first and paste it into a plain text file as a backup, in case anything goes wrong.

I'm unclear about a couple of things. The only file I saw for instructions, was the "readme.txt" file. Here's what I've done:

1.) unzipped the files into a directory.

2.) uploaded them to a directory named "poll."
There were 2 folders that were uploaded, which included all of the subfolders: db and textfile.

3.) changed permissions, as per the readme.txt file.

4.) went to admin page and changed my username and password.

Here's where the problem is:

There are no graphics coming up, which leads me to think something isn't quite right. Here's where I'm a bit confused:

1.) I noticed that the instructions say to go to:
http://www.yourdomain.com/poll/admin/

HOWEVER, the admin directory is actually in the "textfile" folder. So, the actual URL is:
http://www.mydomain.com/poll/textfile/admin/

2.) When I go to the properties of the admin page, it looks for the graphics in the following location:
img src="/~poll/pollphp/textfile/image/help.gif"

So, it does expect it to be in the "textfile" directory. But, there isn't a "pollphp" directory.

What's wrong?

Hello...I have 2.3.1 installed on my server....it's been working fine for 2 months till today...it won't load anymore. It eventially times out and displays error message:

Hi, I use the Advanced Guestbook on my site and Ive been getting loads of spam. It;s becoming unbearable to delete them all. Is there any way to approve messages before they are added?

Thanks! Would this mean that users won't be able to post an e-mail address? I would like to be able to have that option still available, but not visible to the public (may if I could log into my admin area to view it)?

I think I found PHPadmin. I put it on my side and go to the index.php file. but I get this error

I am glad I found this forum as I thought I was going nuts and I could not remember my password. My Guestbook (2.3.1) has been hacked.

I searched the forum and I am still confused. I am not a "prgorammer" so a lot of this is unlcear to me.

I tried Carbonized's reset script, but I got " parse error, unexpected T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE, expecting T_STRING or T_VARIABLE or T_NUM_STRING in ..........line 48" error.

Has this file been updated or fixed?

I also tried reading through the posts about using PHPadmin to modify scripts, but I am unclear. Is PHPadmin a program? I found some files called PHPadmin, but its just a bunch of scripts. Where do you get PHPadmin?

Which file is the "guestbook database", I don't see one actually named that.
