I did write a script for someone that pulls the last five entries and displays them. I can try and dig it up.

Upgrading from 2.2 to 2.3.3 is simple but at present you will lose any images that users uploaded as I have not had time to write a script to add them to the updated database. Upgrading is simply a question of making a backup of your current guestbook files/database, replacing the files on the server with the new guestbook files (remembering to edit config.inc.php) then running the upgrade script I wrote. If needs be I can do it for you.

As I said the install problem is a cPanel problem. All you have to do is download the guestbook from here, extract it, fill in config.inc.php, pload to your site, run the install file.

the latest version of cPanel seems to be a little messed up. This is why I always recommend installing files yourself.

This is because MySQL now uses a different password encryption. Use my password reset script. You will find a link in the sticky thread.

you need to set the base_url variable in the config.inc.php file.

In the <body tag you put dir="rtl" to make it read from right to left.

Possibly. I'll look into it when I get back from holiday.

You don't need to be a programmer. Just open up lang/english.php and tranlsate the text in quotes to farsi You will also possibly need to translate the codes-english.php file as well.

open templates/body.php and remove everything where it says jumpmenu.

Sounds like the replacement didn't take. Check the file again.
