No I was wrong with that comment and shall remove it. You need to replace ALL the files EXCEPT admin/config.inc.php.

If you are upgrading from 2.3.2 to 2.3.3 you also need to update the addentry.php and form.php files as 2.3.3 introduces a time hash check.

The you posted file is correct. Check the database information in the config.inc.php file.

I already have scrambled my email address but spam still comes. I use Spamihilator on my machine to filter spam. As for the guestbooks I think a lot of it comes from "viruses". I use the term virus because I mean a malicious piece of software.

Have a look at the human verification mod found in the advanced guestbook forum.

The code is correct. It's a check. Did you make any changes just before this happened?

I'm a "self appointed expert" on the advanced guestbook and not the advanced poll. I have looked at the poll script once and it seems simple to me. Selet if you are using daabase or flatfile version. If using database supply the database details, if using flat file make the folders writable. Upload the files. Put the cookie include at the very start of the page where the poll is to appear then the poll code where you want the poll to appear. Not exactly rocket science.

GD is used to make the thumbnails and makes them low quality. Turn off thumbnals and it will just use the original image but resized by HTML.

You mean that nobody offered to hold your hand and walk you through it step by step doing it all for you. Welcome to the real world. Thousands of people seem to have managed to do what you consider an impossible task with no help at all.
