I have the Advanced Guestbook on my server and have changed the permissions for public and tmp to 777

My config.inc.php has been edited and looks like:

/* database settings */

$GB_DB["dbName"] = "czechcenter";
$GB_DB["host"] = "localhost";
$GB_DB["user"] = "czechc";
$GB_DB["pass"] = "czech2003";
etc, etc....

When I run install.php I get an error msg
"Cannot connect to database"

I have logged in using the default account test/123 and
my account czechc/czech2003....
both with the same results

What am I doing wrong here?

- public - 777 (drwxrwxrwx) (directory)
- tmp - 777 (drwxrwxrwx) (directory)

Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to turn off the emails that are sent to my webmail everytime an error occurs with my guestbook. I'm sure there's some line of code i need to touch, I just haven't found anything in the scripts yet... any help would be greatly appreciated.

ich habe in advanced guestbook html codes agcodes smilies aktiviert, aber man kann trotzdem keinen link reinschreiben, dass man diesen direkt anklicken kann...

Smilies sind erlaubt
AG Code ist erlaubt

can someone help me. i am using advance guestbook 2.2 and i have activated html-codes, smilies and ag codes. but if someone writes www.xy.com it doesn't work...

would it be possible to check if somenone voted on http autenticated user instead on ip address?

We have an intranet where people authenticate via apache. The pc's are public so checking on ip is not an option.

ich würde gerne das gästebuch ein wenig individueller gestalten und bin auf der suche nach der php datei, die festlegt welche größe die bilder haben können, wenn ich sie aus dem "img" ordner editiere.

Falls ihr mir weiterhelfen könntet wärs echt klasse.

Wenn ihr dann gleich dabei seid postet mir doch gleich ein Beispiel dafür damit ich auch weiß wie man das anstellt, ich bin ja nicht nur einfach so auf ein free guestbook angewiesen.

There were about 10 lines of space after my <? at the end of the english.php file....i have no idea how they got there, it must have been in my editing software (or i hit enter and didnt know it - user error). Thanks Auron.
