Can you supply a link please.
You could either do it by using cookies or use two different guestbook folders and make a new MySQL table called book_cfg2. Copy the config.inc.php file from your current guestbook to the new guestbook but change $GB_TBL["cfg"] = "book_config"; to $GB_TBL["cfg"] = "book_config2";. You can now specify one book to use English and one French.
Can you go into phpMyAdmin and in the left coloumn click book_auth. You should then get the details of book_auth in the right window. Can you tell me what it says for last_visit under type. It should say int(11).
ttiger does your host provide you with phpMyAdmin?
Hmmmmmm I'm guessing you ran an old version of my update script but then didn't actually upload the 2.3.x files to update the guestbook. Download 2.3.2, edit the config file, upload the files.
I do believe that the password is actually in the file.
The page you are putting it on needs to use the .php extension and not .htm nor .html
I visited your site and was unable to locate any guestbook. Anyway what you describe is spam. Automated postings used to spread links for various websites. If you look in the sticky thread there is a link to the thread where I describe a simple method to combat this type of spam.
Is this a new install? If so do you know what server you are running on? is it apache 2?
Sounds like possibly your server is not located on the same machine so loclhost is wrong. You would have to speak to your hosts about the correct address.
If I'm not to busyin work tonight I'll write a tutorial. Basically if you have phpMyAdmin you need to go to book_data and then browse the entries putting the timestamp in th appropriate slot.
open lib/success.php and replace

with
I love how you say that like everybody knows how to access their database. Your instructions would have them having to go through every table in their database. I sent them an email explaining th ethree ways to repair it but they never responded.
The message is in english.php found in the lang folder. The url would go where it says $GB_PG[index].

Sorry but I do not speak German so am using a translator. Are you saying that after running my reset script you cannot login or that after you login you end up going back to the login screen when you click a link?
