This is my problem; I have tried many PHP gbooks out there after megabook crapped out on me and deleted all my entries, and I have to say this GB is the best and has all I need.

However, I don't like the fact when someone posts a "private" entry you can't (even though you are the admin) see it IN the guestbook. You need to go to the admin panel to see it.

In megabook, when someone posted a private entry, it would show that someone did so, only it would show a link that would allow an admin to enter the PW and access the private entry.

Is there anyway to do that in advanced guestbook? when someone leaves a private entry, I want a link to show up that the admin needs to click on to access it.

Also, I would like to know how to make the "private entry" checkbox a button that submits a private entry. Thanks if you can help. =)

Well I can see I'm on my own here.

I installed Advanced poll because it was so highly recomended. I needed something robust and reliable. This fit the bill, but now I am on my second 1969, issue.

My solution has been to copy the text file using FTP and then reenter the data and the votes. This is a ten day voting for a publication, it has gone down twice in one day. Please help! Apache, PHP, text version, Linux.

So I am spending all kinds of time making new polls. What gives? This is a great script, just need it to work under stress.

I figured it was something like this but just couldn't find it anywhere.
This should at least be included under the help button in admin section.
No diregard for the quality of the script, just made me feel like an idiot As simple and intuitive as everything else was, I was certain I was overlooking something.

Would have made life that much easier, and saved me a few hours.

As for I know there are the following mods:

1 spider bot referral check. guestbook checks spiders against a list of all known bots. If found, they are redirected to the dynamic spam trap, where they get fed thousands of bogus email addresses. If Spam spider shows up at page, Admin gets emailed with user IP address and bot that they were using.

2 email addresses are converted on the fly to raw ASCII, which I have tested with 5 of the best spam spider programs...

3 Addentry.php file is now protected with a human verification system, that makes guests place numbers into an input box, stopping robot spam posting. The numbers are generated at random, and is a png image.

4 changed the default gb_action method found in all advanced guestbooks to my own action method. backup for human verficiation system.

5 ICQ online status.

6 MSN and Yahoo addon.

All these mods are also integrated in one new" ultimate advanced guestbook".
So you don't have to install all the mods by hand
