HELP!! Everything seems to be installed correctly for the Advance Poll MySQL version. I am including my poll via SSI using the include virtual statement right off of demo 5. When voting on one of the demo polls, everything appears to update just fine. However, when voting on a poll that I created, nothing updates (and I am not forwarded to the results).

Any ideas?

Does anyone know how to change the greeting: "Thank you for stopping by my site. Here you can leave your mark."? I can't seem to find the right file.

If you can advise me on how to change this I will greatly appreciate it.

Does Anyone Have An Answer?

wsftp did not change permissions although log disagrees.

CPanel file manager made the guestbook work despite puttin gin exactly the same file permissions.

Think I have learned something today.

I am getting Blank pages when calling on index.php of the advanced guestbook. This was after going exactly what was said on the templates page by changing the permissions.

However when going to admin.php, it works fine. If I reduced the permissions from 777 downwards I get forbiddon 403 errors

Anyone any ideas? (I have tried twice and both installs are unusable.)

Due to a major crash this past weekend, the admin username and password was lost to my advanced guestbook.

Looks like there is no feature to retain it either.

i don't know if you have the same problem like i did. first of all, you should check what php-version you are running. if it is below 4.3.2, then you can ignore all this.
next, if it is a problame similar to the one i had, then a php-error-message should appear. if there is something written about it is ot allowed to redeclare functions and the name of the function, then you have the same problem that i have.
please check thi first, and when you think this is exactly the problem come back with the exact error message.

I get this when I go to the page I want to view the survey, the survey shows up but that is at the top.

I can get into the admin section and configure eveything no problem. So what is causing this to happen?

I installed advance poll and am embedding a daily poll on the front page of my site which is relatively large. Therefore, I want the results to come up in a popup window. How do I do this? I see that a template is called popup, so I figured that this would work, but I can't figure out how to switch to this template or even switch to any template for that matter. hi there

with the newest stable version of php (4.3.2) is redecalring of functions an variables not allowed.
in the file class_poll.php, there they decared twice the function "set_max_bar_length".

if you you use the newest version of php you have to remove one of the functions to avoid error-messages !
