well...in the zipped file there are 2 folders; the db or textfiles...

so...i chose to use the db setup installation, but it didn't work.

I tried the textfiles a few days ago, but i ended up deleting it because the images didn't work and it was just plain screwed up.

you the poll count increases but they can vote again and again and again. And they don't see the results. Do i have to put anything before the html code if iam using the SSI one????

I have the advance poll mysql installation working on my server, there were no problems, even the demo scripts work. But when I try to acccess the ADMIN area, all I get is a blank page. I have the poll running on a different type of server and it is working fine, so I know I did every thing correctly in this new installation... Why am I not able to access the ADMIN area?

Here's some info that might be useful-
Using MySQL 4.013
PHP Version 4.24-dev
Server= Netware 6 SP3 running Apache 1

The test server was a G4 Mac running Apache 1...

Fehlen da die Felder in die ich den neuen Benutzernamen und das neue Passwort eingeben kann? Das 'Confirm New Passwort" Feld ist ja da!

I'm new to PHP myself and agree that there are no stupid questions. And I think some of these answers are a little rude to newbies like myself. I am used to Perl but just learning PHP.

I had the same problem as others here. I also use Dreamweaver and am using htm as an extension.

Can I change ONLY the pages that I am putting the poll on to php and leave the index as htm? I don't see why not. I will try it but thought I'd run it by the pros here.

I found the admin page!
I was going to use "Free Link Page 1.2".

I overlooked the last line of a readme.txt.
I am sorry, it is my mistake.

Je could just delete the guestbook directory.
All your entries will be save in the mysql database.
Just install the guestbook again and point to the old database.
