Hello, I have a little problem with Advanced Guestbook 2.3.1
When I upload a picture that is larger than the 100 kb
Limit, I just get a 404 page, but if I upload a picture
That is smaller than 100kb, it works just fine.
I have tried to change the size limit in AG2.3.1 to 600kb
But it just doesn’t work.

Anyone that got any idea what the meaning with this is???

Thanks in advance.
)}???hat did it, a couple of my .php files had spaces afert the ?> tag and deleting those go rid of my errors.
as far as your problem, unfortunately i'm an extreme newb when it comes to php so i'm no help, very sorry and hope you get some help
just nest it into another table and specify the dimensions. You can either do this through the templates, or hard code it in the script
sure, but you will have to go to the front of the site to get into the guestbook because I have a php referal check on the guestbook in an effort to stop spam spiders. It seems to be working too. Stops em dead in their tracks. When they add pages to be spammed they go in through the front of the site, find the guestbook, and add it. The spam spider access the guestbook directly, but that is where it stops on the referal access denied.

You can look at the guestbook, but all I ask is that you don't sign it as it is an alumni website.

thanks
Overall my statement was a general plea for help for all guestbook users. Take a look and you'll find that 90% of the questions on questbooks go unanswered while 90% of the forum questions get answers.

Since you've stepped up to the plate, here's a previous post from someone that never got answered, so I'll ask you.

"In Advanced Guestbook 2.2, I would like to display the email adresses as an image (PGN, JPG or GIF) instead of text"

How can we do this on a guestbook? Any takers?
can i modify the table width of advance guestbook? i want a smaller table instead of 100%.
Hi,
I am using advanced poll (text file) and had the code working perfectly for a few days then - all of a sudden with no changes to the page - it stopped working.

Basicly, if you view the source on the .php page now all you can see is the html info that appears before the following..
It no longer display the code itself or any of the html after that code?

Weird?? Anyone have any suggestions??
Well, I think I answered my own question??

A quick scan of Google for words on the Results page ("/poll", "Send comment", and "Version 2.02")... revealed that Google apparently does scan the results pages already.

But then, I don't know whether or not the templates for those pages are stored in databases or as files on the site.

Does it make a difference?

Greetings!

Say, I installed Advanced Poll the other day from CPanel 5.0.

I chose the database option for installation.

But I didn't realize at the time that Advanced Poll would be storing its templates within the database itself and ignoring the file-copies on disk.

Now, what I'm doing is I've got a specific poll that I want to make a unique template set for. I want to do this because I want to incorporate a fair amount of text on the poll results page.

What I'd LIKE to be able to do is to have that results page be an actual file on the system, because I'd really like the search engines to be able to "pick up" this text.

And I somehow seriously doubt that when the search engines hit my site's main pages, where the poll is pulled in, that the search engines can "follow" the javascript code that creates the link to the results page.

Can they ?????

And if not, any ideas on how I might get them to scan that results page ?

I guess in the end, that's my main question: Do search engines correctly spider the results pages of your polls? (And if not, what can I do to make that happen?)

Thanks!!!!

How about a working example?

While this is a great forum, what is sadly missing is any help for Guest Book users. If you take a look over the past year it is very noticeable that if you have Advanced Poll all you have to do is ask and people are jumping out of the woodwork to help you. But if you have the Advanced Guest Book you're pissing in the wind.

Hey Advanced Poll users...there seems to be a lot of you out there that are very knowledgeable. Us Guest Book users don’t have social diseases, give us a hand. A lot of us are in a learning curve. You learned and somebody probably extended a hand to you to help.

Would someone please help us Guest Book users.
