und vielen Dank für den tollen Poll. Habe ihn ein bisschen an meine Seite (http://www.HeilMile.de) angepasst, dabei aber noch ein wohl leicht zu lösendes Problem:

Wie kann ich die Links genauso aussehen lassen wie die anderen auf meiner Seite? Es geht um die Farbe und das "underline" bei MouseOver.

When you click on vote, it adds your vote, then reloads the page as it should. The results don't display though.

Any ideas?

Hello, I am not very fluent in php at all and can't seem to get the polls to show on an html page for my site. I have tried the help files and the text files but it just doesn't make sense to me. Can you help me?

You have already created the tables to your database, as it says in the error message.. If you don't know how to clear the old tables you can name them in config.inc.php file and install it again. But if you have already installed the tables and stuff it should be working..

It's been a while since I've run through the installation but off of the cuff it sounds like you need to set the file access permissions on your server. As I recall the permission levels on two folders needs to be altered. (folders temp and user or something like that) This info is in the readme file, look for the mention of permissions or the CHMOD command.

I'm having the same problems too. But I can't change the extension from shtml to php or my cgi includes won't work.

Anyone know how to fix this please?

Well Andrew it looks like we're not the only ones with this problem. This is what I found by doing a search of the Forum.

Have not tried these yet myself. But I thought I would post anyways...

Simply overtype the username i.e overtype the 'test' with whatever username you want to use. Same with the password.
Click submit and return to the guestbook.
Then you can check by returning to 'admin', enter your new name/pword and it should accept them.

I get this problem too occasionally - I find that if I delete my cookies I can get in again.

The password is stored in the mysql database.
table: book_auth

You can use phpmyadmin to overwrite your old password.

click on the change link, then type your new password and choose 'PASSWORD' from the drop down menu

Only enter the details that are needed *DO NOT CHANGE the default username or password* in 'config.inc.php' and then copy it back to your server again.

You should be able to gain access to admin with the defaults, you can then change your username and password from there.

Well, Andrew let us know what works if any. Will try myself this weekend when I have more time.

I just set this up my self and wanted to change the password from default and get the same thing you are receiving Andrew.

From what I understand, this is a common issue. Currently looking into it my self. When I find out a solution I'll let you know.
