Check the permissions on the template files.
Make sure your editing the right set.

If that still fails download them from the server and then reupload them.

Your using adv. poll

Text file - stores poll data and information in a text file.
DB - stores poll data and information in a MySQL database.

Read the adv. poll description of the download/free scripts page.

For server time offset USE GOOGLE.

May want to contact your host about your MySQL setup.

One thing I will mention is that my host appends my account username to my database username's and my database name's.

Other alternatives are to use the text file version of adv. poll.

Script examples can be found on this site under the free scrupts link on the left and then under advanced poll, there should be a link called demo.

So, you've got the right database name in your config.inc.php file?

Erm... I'm kinda running out of ideas right now.

I think this has been fixed in the later versions but there is a fix somewhere on this forum I believe.

Did you create the database in say phpMyAdmin before running install.php?

Yes, its to stop spam bots from harvesting e-mail addresses of your sites visitiors.
If you wish to remove it do a search on it and you'll find a couple of threads/topics on it.
