I installed the guest book and also the poll that are very nice.
However, I need to know if these scripts are well protected against hackers ?
If not, is there something to do to protect the config.inc ? (maybe change the name of the file...)
Thanks

sorry....how to do???
the reason is simple.
your php version is not compiled with this option

--enable-track-vars
e.g. "/home/you/public_html/alteredboy/cgi-bin";
this is the path from the server's root

e.g. "/usr/local/httpd/htdocs/poll...
you don't need to rename the files

edit the apache config file httpd.conf:

AddType application/x-httpd-php3 .php3 .php
your php version is not compiled with --enable-track-vars
The file you need to change is located in the include folder. As far as what you need to do to get your poll to display on a page, when you create a poll in the admin, your website.com/pollfolder/admin, you will see what appears to be a little text file located at the end of it. (If you are viewing all of your polls in the admin) Click on this icon and it will display the sourcecode snipet that you need to add to your site. If you want to display a random one, delete the pollid number in parenthesis and type in "random" (with the quotes). if you want the newest poll that has been created, type in "newest" (with the quotes). You can also find this out by clicking on the help button in the admin.

remove the cookie php code
<?php
include "./poll_cookie.php
?>

that's all
