To eliminate that error you must delete any "empty" line from the php file. Just a simple Enter in the file can lead to this error. Eliminate also the comments until the session is created.
Make a search using Google for the words "header already sent " and you'll find good articles about it.
Gibt es hierfür schon eine Lösung?
Anyone got an answer here as I've done the same.
Have you put your FTP settings in the config.inc.php file within the admin folder?
No, I attempted to change it, but as someone pointed out before, it's not that clear whether the change is successful or not.

Because of this I'm not sure what the actual password and user name is. It is not the default one though.

Can I reinstall a page to get the default settings back. I've redesigned the guestbook already so I don't want to reinstall the whole thing as I'll have to redesign it all again.

cheers.
I'm also a beginner to PHP/mySQL, and i've been getting a very specific problem repeatedly with the Advanced Guestbook. I've tried running this on both Apache and IIS, both returning the same error. To be specific, when I access and input information in the install.php file, it comes back and tells me that the Database and Tables were created successfully, but when i click on the "click now here to setup the guestbook admin..." i get the following error:

MySQL Error : Database Error
Error Number: 1046 No Database Selected
Date : Fri, June 21, 2002 02:40:46
IP : 127.0.0.1
Browser : Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0)
Referer : http://localhost/guestbook/install.php
PHP Version : 4.2.1
OS : WINNT
Server : Apache/1.3.26 (Win32) PHP/4.2.1
Server Name : ...

Any help with this would be great, thanx.

Splatz
After a certain time the poll on my page did not appear. When I checked with the admin page the poll appeared as locked. The name of the locked poll disappeared so that it could not be edited. Why is this so?

My poll is running well but i need some help how to modify the existen polls and how to publish them !!!!
Where i can found analytical documentation about ?
Do you have MySQL? That is a must, first of all.

Mine took about 15 minutes total install, and I am a newbie as well. Once you get your files onto your server, use install.php which will guide you through the rest of the process.

There is also a read me file (may be called something else though, I can't remember now) which is VERY helpful if you come across a snag.
do you mean the default user name and password for admin.php?
that's in the read me file that comes with the package.
I've installed the guestbook and I was doing some alterations when my computer crashed. The thing is this...I've forgotton my password.

Crap innit?!

I've tried everyword I know in both combinations but still I can't get in, can anyone guide this stupid fool?
There is a lot of questions and no answers because Adv. Poll and all the software from this site is FREE only for non-commercial uses and there is no support at all. If you want support, you must pay.
I'm not complaining, just explaining.
I guess so.
Look at the config file and set the "3600" number to whatever seconds you want the block function (3600 = one hour)
it's appear

how to correct it please?
Nobody ?
