You must have white space either before the <?php or after the closing ?> in either comment.php or lib/comment.class.php

Go to the guestbook folder and if it contains a folder called templates check the file called footer.php as this will contain the version number.

If it uses the .pl file extension then it is 1.5

3 - Upload the pre modded files (after you have lightly edited them to suit your needs.

Update to 2.3.4 as this is a known problem in 2.3.3. Just replace all the files except those in admin and templates.

I thought you meant bottom left of the web page not the browser window. That and I use Firefox and it indicates Javascript errors in a different way.

Sorry yeah the javascript has got messed up. Open form.php in templates and replace the check form function with this

Thats the javascript used to check the message lengh and is in all copies of AG out there so I doubt it's that.

Possibly your works internet is blocking the counter and replacing it with the triangle.

No the MySQL password in config.inc.php is in plain text and is not encrypted.
