Hi. Took a look at your book, and it is producing the following error code:

Next time, it would help if you copy the actual error code and also be a little more specific with your post title. Everybody volunteers their time on this forum, since the Admin can't be found. It would help save some time if posts were specific.

: Did you read the doc/readme.txt file? Make sure you completed step 3.

3. Give write permissions to these directories:

- public - 777 (drwxrwxrwx) (directory)
- tmp - 777 (drwxrwxrwx) (directory)

If you get the problem fixed, disable html code! If not, please post here again for help.
See Fixes and Mods 5 posts down. Get Carbonize's image verification script and his quick mod to log IP.

Also try adding some words to the list of words not allowed.

See if any of that helps.

Many IPs (like mine) change with each new internet connection. If you ban the IP you would be banning other people with that ISP who did not spam you.

That is actually a picture and not text. You should replace it with your own picture or customize your header to match the rest of your site. Same thing with the red "sign the guestbook". It looks bad and should be replaced with a different picture.
Here's a link to a page with websafe colors and their corresponding numbers:

http://www.permadi.com/tutorial/websafecolor/

As you can see, here are some numbers for:

  • Silver CCCCCC

    Silver 008000

    Gray 808080

    Dark Gray 666666

    Black 000000

  • You just have to try some color combinations and see how they look.
Yea. I can see where that suggestion I gave would cause problems down the road. I just called mine "Opinion Poll"

Maybe it's the template? See if using the "Plain" template doesn't eliminate the poll title from showing.

I tried using the plain template on one of my polls, and it just shows the poll with no title or border. You may have to adjust the width to fit in your box.
If I understand you correctly, I would say the problem is with what you are naming the poll.

Advanced poll is designed to allow you to use multiple polls on your site. Instead of calling your poll "ohhstrack.com poll", you should give it a name specific to the question, perhaps maybe "chip system" or something like that. Then you can go ahead and put "Poll" as the title in the bar above it, and it would make sense, saying the current poll is about the "chip system".

I attempted to sign your book and received the following error message:

    Cannot open ID file guest_id.txt

While I have not used the cgi version, it sounds like permissions need to be changed so this file can be written to.

You need to read the instructions (maybe a readme file) and find out if you should change the permissions on this and any other files to 777.

Use http://www.knowler.co.nz/ for the base directory.

You are using the cgi version, while most of us are using the php version.

Your guestbook does not appear to be in a separate directory.
Thanks. When you're done with it, I'll probably try it again.
Carbonize, I signed John and Rachel's guestbook on November 3 without leaving an email address.

Someone else signed their book on November 9 with an email address. It has added their email address to my post.

Yes. You didn't change any info did you? ... Just selected all the tables and checked the file box?

So you should be able to click on "go" near the bottom and it will ask you if you want to save the file. Go ahead and then navigate to the directory you want to save it to on your hard drive. If you really want to be cautious, you can look in the saved file to make sure it has the info.
    I forgot to sign in.
