Your page extension needs to be .php. Rename page from index.html to index.php or put the poll code on a page that ends in .php. Alternatively, here is a post with tips on how to include the poll in an .html page:

Guide on How to Add Poll to HTML page

Have you set the poll path in the admin panel correctly?

Are the files chmod according to the info in the readme file? The server needs write permission for some files.

Are you using textfile or database?
You should search the phpwcms support forum. There is some discussion on using Advanced poll in phpwcms. Here are a couple, but all you have to do is click on their search button and type in advanced poll.

Auron has explained it in this post: http://proxy2.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2067
Log into the poll's Administration panel.

On the menu at the top of the page, Click on "General Settings".

Under "Table, Font And Color Options", adjust the table width. You may also change the poll's colors here.

Scroll down to the bottom and Click on "Submit Settings"

On the menu at the top of the page, Click on "Templates". Make sure you select the template you are using.

Click on "Preview". You will get a popup of what your poll looks like.
Put the poll code on the page you want the poll to show up in. (If you want a poll on your home page, put the poll code on the home page wherever you want it to appear.)

This post lists several links to threads with helpful information:

Also read the Sticky message on Advanced Poll Instructions at the top of the Support Forum.

Hey, you need to log back in and edit your message. Remove your reference to username and password. Even though I couldn't get it to work, don't tempt the hackers.
I don't think you can just create a directory called cgi-bin. This is set up by the host. I think you need to find the path to the real cgi-bin. Who's your host? Are you a subdomain of some other domain?

Carbonize... any ideas?
I am seeing a vote button, so maybe you resolved this.

Anyway, perhaps take a look at the demos: http://proxy2.de/poll/index.php

It looks like when they use anything other than the default template, the template is specified using "set_template_set":

Reading this post may be of some help:

http://proxy2.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3481&highlight=poll

You need to create a poll in your Poll Admin Panel and then put the codes in whichever of your website's pages that you want to include a poll. If you want the poll to appear on your home page, add the codes to your index file.

Start that page with the poll cookie code:

Just like it says, this code goes before the <html> at the beginning of your document.

Then wherever in the document that you want the poll to appear, you add the poll code. You can get the poll code from your Poll Admin Panel by clicking on "Help". Example:

In the poll code, change x to the poll number:
It will also give you the code to display random polls or the latest poll.

Save the file with a .php extension or search this forum if you want instructions for .html or .shtml.

Search this forum for instructions and you will find lots of posts. Use this search string:
poll AND instructions
Your font is too small to read. Can't make out the poll or the footer. I don't know for sure, but I suspect it is your style sheet.
Auron has explained this in the instructions.

http://proxy2.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2067&highlight=poll+instructions
In Admin Panel, click on "Templates" and select the template you are using on the right.

On the left side, it shows the name of your template. Then under "Poll View" it has the code for "display_head":

Try changing the font size in this code. I believe your templates need to have permissions set to 777 in order to save any changes.

You may also need to click on the "Poll Result" and "Comments" to change that "display_head" code.
Strange that someone should feel this way, considering people are here volunteering their time to answer questions. There are many of us who do not consider ourselves to be experts. We just read the stickies and the posts, searched for the answers, and are willing to share what we have found.

Also view the poll demos for sample codes, and click on the Search button at the top of this forum and search for: poll AND templates
I visited your site and see the poll. Your web page is .shtml which is probably why the poll doesn't work. It was designed for .php

Somewhere on this forum someone posted instructions for using the poll in a .shtml file. You should do a search. Try entering poll AND shtml in the search box at the top of this forum.
